Meet Ariel Marte, the heart behind Lark & Lavender. She’s warm, friendly, and knows how to make you feel comfortable. With a BFA in photography from Art Center College of Design, Ariel discovered her love for weddings on her very first shoot. Since then, she’s been passionate about freezing those special moments.
When you first meet Ariel, she’ll want to hear all about you and your partner. She believes that getting to know you helps create beautiful, authentic photos. She’ll make sure you feel relaxed in front of the camera, so your true selves shine through.
At Lark & Lavender, our style is all about real moments. We document your love in a candid, photojournalistic way that tells your unique story. From the start, we’ll work together to pick the perfect package that fits your needs and budget.

I got my BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After one wedding shoot, I was hooked! For the past 10 years, I’ve been capturing love stories. I usually shoot about 30 weddings each year. Hearing how my couples met? It’s my jam. Those little meet-cutes always get me!
I have a fun, laid-back style. I want your love to shine through in every photo!
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me at the beach with my awesome boyfriend. We love catching waves or soaking in some art at the museum for inspiration. And let’s be real, we also binge-watch a lot of Netflix, usually dramas or HGTV.
